Discovering the Fullness of a Christ-Built Life
A 10-part Series
By Eric Ludy
Jesus Christ is my passion. I never tire of the topic. I spend hours each and every day meditating on the thought of the Life of Christ given, the Life of Christ at work, the Life of Christ fully alive within my very body. As far as I’m concerned, Jesus is what it is all about.
Over the years, Leslie and I have been asked by countless young people for materials that could take them deeper into the set-apart existence, into the fullness of the Christ-enabled Life. We have been asked to walk students through an exhaustive discipleship process, but due to constraints on time and availability it has proven difficult. But over these past three years Leslie and I have begun to take some strides forward in this area. In fact, it is our hope in the next year or so to be launching a collegiate training school in order to train and disciple young students in fullness of the historical Christian life.
In front of you is our first step down that road. This Discipleship series is the enunciation of everything Leslie and I believe is the cornerstone of true Christianity. It is not exhaustive, but it should go a long way in clarifying the basic language of Scripture and the thrilling possibilities awaiting those who choose to follow the Lamb “whithersoever he goeth”.
This series represents a very different message than is commonly heard today amongst modern evangelicals. It doesn’t host a post-modern relativistic mindset. It’s certainly not mushy ideas – it’s life-changing Truth. It doesn’t sell Christ as a softie, but rather acknowledges Him as a King. It doesn’t shy away from the ideas of repentance, conviction, holiness, and the deeper life, even though many of those ideas have grown ugly in modern-times due to abuse and twisting. This series is about venturing further in faith and grace than anyone around you in Christendom is willing to go. This series allows the Bible to speak for itself in order to define the expectations and attitude of a Child of God. This first Discipleship set, which we will be releasing in its entirety on this website over the next few months, will deal with the foundations of the triumphant Christ-built life.
This series was put together for the eight team members currently working at our ministry headquarters in Windsor, Colorado. The recordings are certainly not the highest quality, but they are quality enough in order to effectively pass on the message.
An important note: I designed this Discipleship series to be listened to in chronological order. For instance, the ideas shared in session two build upon ideas shared in session one. And it is very possible that listening to session seven without first listening to session four, might lead to confusion. To avoid this confusion, it is my hope that you would traverse through this series in the order in which they were originally presented.
I have included with each session the actual notes that I created for our team when I delivered the messages. These notes include my commentary, the Scriptures utilized, and quotes referenced in my teaching. I encourage you to download these notes, for they will greatly enhance the learning experience.
Even if you have read Leslie’s and my books prior to this Discipleship journey, I have no doubt that you will become much more intimately acquainted with us and our heartbeat by hearing us voice our passion on the Amazing joys found in a life fully given over to Jesus Christ.
May God richly bless you as you venture down the narrow way of the Cross.
Your friend,
Eric
